Auditions for the drama DOUBT will be held Sunday, August 30 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Paragon Theatre, 1321 State Ave, Coraopolis, PA 15108.
Roles:
Sister Aloysius Beauvier: 50s- 70s. Strict, headmistresses of the Catholic school. Must be able to play subtleties!
Sister James: 20s. A new instructor at the school. Reserved, but enthusiastic and eager to please.
Father Flynn: late 30s – 50s. A priest. Looking for an actor willing to explore both possibilities of the accusations.
Mrs. Muller: 30s – 40s. Looking for a woman of color. The mother of the child in question. She’s proper but set in her decisions.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
- One-minute dramatic monologue. The more subtle and the more subtext, the better!
- Read from script. Sides can be found here. Several characters may read more than one scene, if asked.
