AUDITIONS

Auditions for the musical Jekyll and Hyde will be held Sunday, February 22 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Paragon Theatre, 1321 State Ave, Coraopolis, PA 15108.

Auditions are for ages 18+. All adult ages are needed as well as character voices!!

You do not need an appointment. Please bring a headshot/resume if you have one (not required), and a list of evening/weekend conflicts for March 9 – April 25. The show runs April 16-25. All roles are open. The role of Jekyll/Hyde may be singularly OR double cast, depending on auditions. (We will get plenty of people who can play both. It will only be double cast if we find two men who will make double casting a more interesting choice.)

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Men:

  • Please bring 32 bars of a traditional Broadway song. (The more powerful/darker the better!)
  • Please prepare a one-minute dramatic monologue.

If you are auditioning for the role of Jekyll/Hyde, please ALSO prepare ONE of the following:

  • Alive (beginning through “being Edward Hyde” at end)
  • This is the Moment (from “For all these years, I’ve faced the world alone” to end)
  • Please use (and bring) any accompaniment you are comfortable with. There are many choices on YouTube.
  • If callbacks are needed for Jekyll/Hyde, we may ask for either of the above songs as well as Confrontation.

Women:

  • Please bring 32 bars of a traditional Broadway song. (Darker is better!)
  • Please prepare a one-minute dramatic monologue.
  • If callbacks are needed for Emma or Lucy, In His Eyes and Bring on the Men will be used.

The attached scripts will be used for readings ONLY if callbacks are necessary. They are linked here only for preparedness for callbacks. Callbacks will be held Monday, February 23rd in the evening.
